Ingleside store robbed at gunpoint

The Lake County sheriff's office wants help finding the man who robbed an Ingleside convenience store Wednesday night at gunpoint, deputies said Thursday.

About 8:45 p.m. Wednesday, the man entered A&N Convenience/Liquor Store, 34780 Catherine St., and took an undisclosed amount of cash from the register, deputies said.

The thief fled as a passenger in a waiting vehicle, possibly a 2006 or 2007 white Volkswagen Passat, and went north on Wilson Road, police said. He's described as Hispanic, 30 to 40 years old, 5 feet 8 inches tall, and about 150 pounds.

The vehicle has black rims or no hubcaps and has a passenger's-side headlight burned out. The clerk was not injured.

Anyone with information should call Lake County deputies at (847) 549-5200 or Lake County Crime Stoppers at (847) 662-2222.
